Hello Daniel just to say how much we enjoyed your performances in Glasgow 2007/08 despite having a flu like cold you were absolutely awesome I have took my Aunt along for her 90th birthday and she was bowled over with the entire performance Thankyou Daniel you are amazing. Daniel, Greetings from two of your fans. My wife and I were somewhat crestfallen when you weren't at the Symphony Hall this year. No doubt you had a better offer. I trust your career goes from strength to strength. If Andre Rieu can take on the World, then you have the charisma and virtuosity to do likewise. Best wishes. Paul and Elaine

My husband and I always attend the Strauss New Year concert at the Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow and I just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed your conducting of the orchestra over the past two years, especially your brilliant solos which were played so movingly. How much we missed you this year! Haste ye back! Kindest regards, June and Walter Myles, Falkirk.

Is it an idea to put a list on your website with release information of your cd's (title, release date, etc.)? I am e.g. looking for the latest cd in which I can hear you playing Piazzolla's Four Seasons. Is it available in The Netherlands? Thanks in advance, Anna.
REPLY FROM DANIEL:Dear Anna, the CD can be ordered via Amazon, or via the record label: www.twopianists.com/records

Hi Daniel, I was deeply moved by your playing in the Bodø area with the Brodsky Quartet this summer, and glad to find you here. Nice pages, and nice also to see the clips on Stift and Cadogan Hall at Youtube, even when you speak Netherlandish : ) All the best from your true Norwegian "groupie", Janne Rygg.
REPLY FROM DANIEL:It was a wonderful trip - warm wishes, Daniel

I just arrived back home after 10 amazing days in Stellenbosch! I am still in some what of a trance after all the grate music! Your concert was definitely the high point. You have opened my mind to a point were anything can be possible when it comes to what you love to do. Giving new meaning to something that has almost been forgotten. The art of doing something the way you want to yet always staying in the boundaries of what really makes music “good music”! I heard some people say it was like a Rock concert at the end almost expecting you to smash your violin over the closest chair!? You blew our minds!

Dear Daniel Thank you for leading a deeply moving performance of Shostakovich recently in Stellenbosch. The evening will remain with me and inspire me.. May the 'magic' you bring to so many others be returned to you in the ways you most desire.

Hi Daniel, Thank you for so many wonderful performances at the recent Stellenbosch International Chamber Music Festival. Your 8 seasons performance was mesmorising, you became the music and, you, the music and the atmosphere you created, touched my soul. Your master class with Kate Taylor where you both played Beethoven was another transcending experience. Just wonderful! I also loved the way you expressed you emotions and personality through your playing. I feel truley blessed to have attended this concert series. Warmest regards, Linda Hall, Stellenbosch, South Africa. July 2009

Dear Daniel, Thank you for the glorious Strauss evening at Brighton last night. I can't tell you what a treat it was to have you conducting and playing this year - sumptuous. And I was delighted to hear someone agreeing with my view that the Kaiser Waltzer is possibly the best waltz of all time - majestic, charming, and beuatifully constructed. All the very best ... look forward to seeing you in some capacity again soon David

Daniel, I have just been to see the show here in Brighton and have been totally BLOWN AWAY by it and by your dazzling expression of self, of passion, of music, of total love for the work and also for life. I have been left feeling so inspired and walzed home. Thank you so much, you are a total superstar. Maria Contreras

Hi Daniel Attended the JSG in Dublin this evening. This was my third time attending and it was simply outstanding. It just seems to get better every year. Your solo on Zigeuenerweisen was worth the price of the ticket on it's own. I hope to see you soon in another context as I've only ever seen you lead the JSG. I will be in Italy when the BQ play Bologna in February but will probably not make it however I will be in Sicily in July and hope to see some of your performances there. Classical music is something I've only recently began to listen to in a serious way. after a long time exploring and enjoying many other genres of music and through your playing (and a boxed set of Von Karajan recordings!!) I am learning to appreciate it more and more. Best wishes for the rest of the year and I hope to see you performing again soon.

Last night I attended the Strauss Concert at the Glasgow Concert Hall and enjoyed it immensely. I saw you last year at the same venue and thought that was a wonderful performance but last night was even better. Your personality as well as your expertise really appeal to an audience and I wish you continued success for the future. I am already looking forward to seeing you again and in the meantime, I shall have the pleasure of listening to your CD. I would really like to have a DVD of your performances. Is this available? Margaret

Hi Daniel, We are just home from the performance of Strictly Strauss at the Caird Hall here in Dundee. I have to say it is one of the most enjoyable nights I have had in a long time. Especially enjoyed your conducting and your playing of Zigeunerweisen, we had front row seats and were totally captivated by your playing and hope some day to see you play once again. What we did find funny was they way you totally shredded your bow and had to keep pulling hair off it. I am also writing this to ask if it would be possible to obtain your autograph somehow ? Thank you once more for an amazing performance by yourself, the Strauss Orchestra and not forgetting the amazing dancers and Elena Xanthoudakis. Kind Regards Darren

I use to see you in Orquestra da Gulbenkian, in Lisboa many years ago, (i'm a sculptor and used to draw the musicians, it was my zen moment every week...) but then you disapeared and it was really sad to loose such a great violinist... i found this web site today and i'm happy to know that you're playing in all these places around the world...! Hope you'll be back in Lisboa some day again!

Hi, Daniel, Sunday. . What a great new venue at KIngs Place . and another brilliant performance from you and the Brodsky's.Your playing is always so dynamic ,sensitive and emotive, andyour passion for performing so evident. Sir Maxwell Davis was sitting next to us and expressed his delight at your performance of Hym to Artemis Locheia and deposited his manuscript on my knee when he went up to join you on stage.I tried to returned it to him but he signed it and gave it back to me!! What a delightful man and so happy to talk to us. I was even more delighted when Iwas able to meet you briefly,"shake your gifted hand "and add your signature to the manuscript of a very special performance. What a fantastic piece of music and a great day out.Thankyou for stopping to speak as you were clearly in a hurry. . you made my day! Alison

Dear Daniel I attended your Cape Town performance (9 September 2008) and returned home most satisfied with making the effort 100km through rain (from Worcester). I work for Stellenbosch University (medical campus, Tygerberg), and am sorry that I missed the Conserve performance (Endler Hall). It's a pity that the City Hall looks like an old hostel, all run down. You deserved a venue with much better class, to suit your music. Thank you for the most appropriate classical interpretation. I am a jazz musician and could already hear a jazz band accompanying you with the tango works. My wife and Dad-in-law accompanied me to your performance, and they are full of praise - basically, you are very good and represented the best classical gig that came our way this year. Wish we could follow you overseas! Good luck with the rest of your tour. Your skills are phenomenal - I hope to meet you in person some day. Regards, Nathan Wilson (nathan30@gmail.com)

Dear Daniel, Just writing to thank you again for your help with my Piazzolla guitar duo today! Ed and I thoroughly enjoyed learning from you - you totally transformed our sound and gave me in particular the confidence to try new sounds and effects on my Violin that I would have been too nervous to do before. It was all we could talk about walking home! Also really enjoyed learning about Brahms with you earlier in the day with the sextet and listening to you with the Brodsky's - looking forward to tomorrow night's concert in the RSAMD! Many thanks again! Laura McKinlay
REPLY FROM DANIEL:it was a pleasure- having the courage to play with many, many colors is so important. Good luck, D

Dear Daniel, Thankyou for yet another inspiring performance last night with Diana Ambach at Cadogan Hall .What an amazing lady and accomplished pianist. ... I was browsing on the Cadogan Hall website (now that you've got me well and truly hooked on the captivating and emotive sounds of the violin) and I stumbled across the Brodsky's Video clip! What a great idea. I really appreciated listening to the background information for your forthcoming performances . . . I shall follow your advice and come to both concerts in order to appreciate the early and later compositions. ....I shall continue to enjoy your gloriously inspirational playing . . . Alison P.S. On your persuasive reccmmendation I bought the C.D.from your Johanne Strauss Tour;its abrilliant collection and so uplifting sadly no praeludiumm and allegra .perhaps you might be kind enoudh to sign it?

We saw Daniel leading the Strauss Gala evening in Norwich tonight and I can't believe that someone with his talent could appear so unpretentious. It was a magical evening - not forgetting the orchestra, dancers and beautiful singer. It was the best evening for - I don't know how long!! Many, many thanks. Marian, Norwich

Daer Mr. Rowland, I attended the Johann Strauss Gala at the Liverpool Philharmonic recently where you played a piece called Preludium und Allegro by Kreisler. I would like to get a CD of your violin playing containing this work? Is there one I can buy? I thought it the most beautiful piece of music and your playing of it very moving. The Strauss Gala Orchestra and Dancers were wonderful. It was a really lovely evening. S.G

Dear Daniel I wanted to try and personally thank you for how uplifting your violin recital made me feel last night. I know how much music can touch an individual but Id never felt that before, ever. I was totally inspired. Had the applause carried on forever, afterwards, I dont think it would have been enough, I think you must learn to enjoy that more! I also feel compelled to relay how much I adored your diction, manner and delivery between each symphony as your charismatic story telling had me spellbound. And as for the evening in full? It was one of the best nights out I have ever experienced EVER in my life. And Im a rock chick at heart!

Vriendelijke groet. Geesje Kuit

enjoyed a wonder Strauss night at Glasgow last night under the leadership of Daniel. What a wonderfully talented young man who brought so much enthusiasm to the evening. My husband and I felt privileged to have seen him and wish him the very best for his future career. By the way he's pretty cute too!!

Tuesday 6th of November 2007
Daniel, your beautiful violin had to wait almost 200 years to "hear" someone play as you do! I am glad I did not have to do that! I'm sure the composers listening up in heaven cannot wait to tell you that you play their music exactly as they intended! Please tell Daniel Rowland's parents they did NOT spend too much on his music lessons! And PLEASE come back to Stellenbosch next year!!
REPLY FROM DANIEL:I will be back in July '08! Looking forward. D

Hello Daniel, I couldn't resist looking up the Brodsky website after our little chat waiting for a taxi in Paris last Saturday night. Unfortunately the site was being updated but I managed to track you down. You probably don't remember so I will remind you: we are involved in the Clifden Arts Week festival in the west of Ireland and would love if you would be interested in a trip to Connemara in the future. I looked up your concert dates to see if you are due to play again in Ireland and once again another coincidence - Uppsala - Sweden, a very good friend of mine from Clifden has just (last week) moved there so I'm going to text her to tell her to get tickets if she can. I believe in fate and so after being completely mortified when you kindly redirected me to the end of the taxi queue and (not the bus stop as I had thought) to then discover that you where living as a small child across the road from where I had just started school in Quex Rd - was quite extraordinary. So I think that it would be extra special to have you and the Brodskys here in Clifden one day. You could find this all a little strange and I completely understand but I've just heard some of the short download pieces of this site and saw the Brodsky video from the Galway Arts festival and I have to say I'm now lost for words. My email address is griffin.sharon1@gail.com Sharon
