I use to see you in Orquestra da Gulbenkian, in Lisboa many years ago, (i'm a sculptor and used to draw the musicians, it was my zen moment every week...) but then you disapeared and it was really sad to loose such a great violinist... i found this web site today and i'm happy to know that you're playing in all these places around the world...! Hope you'll be back in Lisboa some day again!

Dear Mr. Rowland, last night I've heard you playing at the first time in the Benefiz-Concert from Polina and Priya for the childs of Tschernobyl in the Church in Kassel. It was so wonderful, so emotional, so touching - I was favourably impressed. Thank you so much for a wonderful evening. Are there any CD's of your music? I would like to buy some.... Warm regards Marlis Lenort

Hi, Daniel, Sunday. . What a great new venue at KIngs Place . and another brilliant performance from you and the Brodsky's.Your playing is always so dynamic ,sensitive and emotive, andyour passion for performing so evident. Sir Maxwell Davis was sitting next to us and expressed his delight at your performance of Hym to Artemis Locheia and deposited his manuscript on my knee when he went up to join you on stage.I tried to returned it to him but he signed it and gave it back to me!! What a delightful man and so happy to talk to us. I was even more delighted when Iwas able to meet you briefly,"shake your gifted hand "and add your signature to the manuscript of a very special performance. What a fantastic piece of music and a great day out.Thankyou for stopping to speak as you were clearly in a hurry. . you made my day! Alison

Dear Daniel I attended your Cape Town performance (9 September 2008) and returned home most satisfied with making the effort 100km through rain (from Worcester). I work for Stellenbosch University (medical campus, Tygerberg), and am sorry that I missed the Conserve performance (Endler Hall). It's a pity that the City Hall looks like an old hostel, all run down. You deserved a venue with much better class, to suit your music. Thank you for the most appropriate classical interpretation. I am a jazz musician and could already hear a jazz band accompanying you with the tango works. My wife and Dad-in-law accompanied me to your performance, and they are full of praise - basically, you are very good and represented the best classical gig that came our way this year. Wish we could follow you overseas! Good luck with the rest of your tour. Your skills are phenomenal - I hope to meet you in person some day. Regards, Nathan Wilson (nathan30@gmail.com)

Dear Daniel, Just writing to thank you again for your help with my Piazzolla guitar duo today! Ed and I thoroughly enjoyed learning from you - you totally transformed our sound and gave me in particular the confidence to try new sounds and effects on my Violin that I would have been too nervous to do before. It was all we could talk about walking home! Also really enjoyed learning about Brahms with you earlier in the day with the sextet and listening to you with the Brodsky's - looking forward to tomorrow night's concert in the RSAMD! Many thanks again! Laura McKinlay
REPLY FROM DANIEL:it was a pleasure- having the courage to play with many, many colors is so important. Good luck, D

Dear Daniel, Thankyou for yet another inspiring performance last night with Diana Ambach at Cadogan Hall .What an amazing lady and accomplished pianist. ... I was browsing on the Cadogan Hall website (now that you've got me well and truly hooked on the captivating and emotive sounds of the violin) and I stumbled across the Brodsky's Video clip! What a great idea. I really appreciated listening to the background information for your forthcoming performances . . . I shall follow your advice and come to both concerts in order to appreciate the early and later compositions. ....I shall continue to enjoy your gloriously inspirational playing . . . Alison P.S. On your persuasive reccmmendation I bought the C.D.from your Johanne Strauss Tour;its abrilliant collection and so uplifting sadly no praeludiumm and allegra .perhaps you might be kind enoudh to sign it?

We went to the Strauss Gala concert in Reading last night and greatly enjoyed it - particularly your violin playing. Most impressive violin since Joshua Bell performed here. Would love to hear more of you - do come to Reading again Richard

We saw Daniel leading the Strauss Gala evening in Norwich tonight and I can't believe that someone with his talent could appear so unpretentious. It was a magical evening - not forgetting the orchestra, dancers and beautiful singer. It was the best evening for - I don't know how long!! Many, many thanks. Marian, Norwich

Daer Mr. Rowland, I attended the Johann Strauss Gala at the Liverpool Philharmonic recently where you played a piece called Preludium und Allegro by Kreisler. I would like to get a CD of your violin playing containing this work? Is there one I can buy? I thought it the most beautiful piece of music and your playing of it very moving. The Strauss Gala Orchestra and Dancers were wonderful. It was a really lovely evening. S.G

Dear Daniel I wanted to try and personally thank you for how uplifting your violin recital made me feel last night. I know how much music can touch an individual but Id never felt that before, ever. I was totally inspired. Had the applause carried on forever, afterwards, I dont think it would have been enough, I think you must learn to enjoy that more! I also feel compelled to relay how much I adored your diction, manner and delivery between each symphony as your charismatic story telling had me spellbound. And as for the evening in full? It was one of the best nights out I have ever experienced EVER in my life. And Im a rock chick at heart!

Vriendelijke groet. Geesje Kuit

enjoyed a wonder Strauss night at Glasgow last night under the leadership of Daniel. What a wonderfully talented young man who brought so much enthusiasm to the evening. My husband and I felt privileged to have seen him and wish him the very best for his future career. By the way he's pretty cute too!!

Daniel, your beautiful violin had to wait almost 200 years to "hear" someone play as you do! I am glad I did not have to do that! I'm sure the composers listening up in heaven cannot wait to tell you that you play their music exactly as they intended! Please tell Daniel Rowland's parents they did NOT spend too much on his music lessons! And PLEASE come back to Stellenbosch next year!!
REPLY FROM DANIEL:I will be back in July '08! Looking forward. D

Hello Daniel, I couldn't resist looking up the Brodsky website after our little chat waiting for a taxi in Paris last Saturday night. Unfortunately the site was being updated but I managed to track you down. You probably don't remember so I will remind you: we are involved in the Clifden Arts Week festival in the west of Ireland and would love if you would be interested in a trip to Connemara in the future. I looked up your concert dates to see if you are due to play again in Ireland and once again another coincidence - Uppsala - Sweden, a very good friend of mine from Clifden has just (last week) moved there so I'm going to text her to tell her to get tickets if she can. I believe in fate and so after being completely mortified when you kindly redirected me to the end of the taxi queue and (not the bus stop as I had thought) to then discover that you where living as a small child across the road from where I had just started school in Quex Rd - was quite extraordinary. So I think that it would be extra special to have you and the Brodskys here in Clifden one day. You could find this all a little strange and I completely understand but I've just heard some of the short download pieces of this site and saw the Brodsky video from the Galway Arts festival and I have to say I'm now lost for words. My email address is griffin.sharon1@gail.com Sharon
